The woodland wildflowers of eastern North America are beautiful and diverse. Many of them bloom so early that there are no leaves on the trees and people are not yet thinking of getting out in the woods. With a team that included a botanist, a horticulturist, and several digital artists, we created an animated summary of what flowers bloom when in the area near Powdermill Nature Reserve. Certain of these plants are available as Virtual Reality models that can be navigated on your computer screen. An award-winning phone app allows you to plant these flowers wherever you point your phone!
